  • Therapy addresses mental health, emotional healing, and behavioral patterns. Spiritual direction focuses on your relationship with God and noticing where the Spirit is at work in your life. Both are valuable, and many people benefit from both.

  • I work within the Christian tradition, so our conversations will reference scripture, prayer, and Christian spiritual practices. If you're exploring faith, you're welcome. If you're not interested in Christian spirituality, this probably isn't the right fit.

  • You don't need to be spiritual in any particular way. You just need to be honest. Some of the most profound spiritual direction happens with people who feel disconnected from God or unsure about their faith. That's exactly where we can begin.

  • It varies. Some people work with a director for a few months during a specific season of transition or discernment. Others continue for years as an ongoing spiritual practice. There's no right timeline—it's about what serves you.

  • Yes. Everything you share in spiritual direction is held in confidence, just as it would be in therapy or pastoral counseling.

  • A spiritual practices can be a tool or process designed to help you connect to God.

Some common practices include things such as: Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer, Imaginative Prayer, and even silence.

  • It’s uncommon to work with couples. However, on rare occasions when it makes sense and all parties agree, I have worked with couples.

In such cases it critical to understand the Spiritual Direction is NOT marriage counseling.
